Facts about Fiberglass in Mattresses

Mattresses are supposed to be a place to rest and relax. Sadly, many families have had their lives upended after their Zinus mattress leaked fiberglass and contaminated their home. Read on to learn more facts about fiberglass in mattresses.

Fiberglass is a common component of many mattresses and acts as a needed fire retardant. However, Zinus LLC, a common bed-in-a-box mattress manufacturer, did not adequately warn their customers of the fiberglass inside their mattress and its problems with leaking and contamination. Additionally, we believe Zinus mattresses are defectively designed which resulted in fiberglass contamination.

When consumers removed the zippable mattress cover to wash it, fiberglass was released into their homes. Sometimes fiberglass contamination occurred even if consumers did not remove the cover.
